Silk duiponi gown created for William Peace University's production of 'Jane Eyre', September 2011.

Hand-dyed silk and lace, done in a basic 1840's style.

Wow, nice job on the dye! It does look like an antique from this shot.
Of course the dupioni would ruin that effect a bit up close, slubby silks like that not being historically correct and all ;-)

Thank you! I was so pleased with how it came out - the silk was originally silver, believe it or not. I threw it in with some tan dye. My test swatch had come out kinda coppery... instead it came out this lovely sage color. I adore it!
