WIP - English Fitted Gown by silverstah WIP - English Fitted Gown by silverstah
Well, I suppose it's really just about done - but I hate to label it "done" until I have proper photos. :)

Based on the Tudor Tailor book - a 1560's middle class ensemble.

Blue silk kirtle. Bodice stiffened with reed boning, side lacing. Skirt lined in linen.

Black velveteen sleeves, tied to the kirtle.

Purple wool fitted gown with black wool trim. Lined in copper silk. Closes up the front with hooks and eyes.

Hand-embroidered coif. Hat purchased from Truly Originals.

Oooh! I love the purple and copper together... it looks very swanky. For 12th Night?

Thank you! Yeah, the purple and copper were just SCREAMING to be together forever. :) Yes, Twelfth Night - I'll be late and tired (chaperoning a sleepover the night before!), but I'll be there!
